The single most useful thing to know about Zanzibar with children is the tide. On the east coast the sea retreats several hundred metres twice a day and swimming stops. On the north coast it does not.

So this one sits north, all-inclusive so nobody is negotiating about lunch, and the excursions are the ones that actually hold a child's attention, monkeys, giant tortoises, and a sandbank you can swim off.
