How do I get there?

Kilimanjaro International (JRO) for safari and the mountain. It is 45 minutes from our office in Moshi. Zanzibar (ZNZ) has its own airport, and the hop between them takes about an hour.

How long is the flight?

About nine hours from Amsterdam, non-stop. Thirteen to fifteen from the UK with one change, and around twenty from the east coast of the US.

Do I need a visa?

Yes. Apply online before you fly, at visa.immigration.go.tz, which is the only site you should ever pay on.

Is it safe?

Yes, with the ordinary precautions you would take anywhere. Tanzania is politically stable and tourism is a large part of the economy, which is felt in how visitors are treated.
