Olmoti Crater hike

A quiet crater next door to Ngorongoro, walked with a Maasai ranger.

Olmoti is the crater next door to Ngorongoro and almost nobody goes. You walk up through the highland forest with a Maasai ranger, which is required rather than optional, and come out on the rim above a shallow grassland crater with cattle grazing in it. The Munge stream falls off the far wall and feeds the Ngorongoro crater floor below. About two hours up and back.
