Family Safari & Zanzibar

Nine days built around what children can actually do, shorter drives, a private vehicle, and a north-coast beach where the sea never disappears.

The thing that ruins family safaris is the driving. So this one cuts the northern circuit to the two parks that reward a shorter day. Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater, and gives you a private vehicle, which means you stop when a four-year-old needs to stop rather than when eight strangers agree to.

On the island it is all-inclusive, so nobody is negotiating about lunch, and the excursions are the ones that hold a child's attention: red colobus monkeys close enough to see properly, and giant tortoises you can walk among.

One caveat we will raise before you book: several of the best camps have minimum ages. Tell us how old your children are and we will say plainly which are open to you.
